Situated along the fertile delta of the Peñaranda River, General Tinio is situated 120 km. north of Manila and 32 km Southeast of Cabanatuan City. It is bounded by the Municipalities of Sta. Rosa, Laur, and Gabaldon in the North; Gapan City and San Miguel, Bulacan in the South; Aurora Province in the East; Municipality of Penaranda in the West.

Having three gateways such as Cabanatuan-Fort Magsaysay Road, Sta. Rosa – Nazareth Road and Gapan – Peñaranda Road, the municipality can be reached via all-mode of land transportation.

Baliwag Transit, public bus transport plying to and from Manila, is serving all commuters and back-packer tourists. Commuters from Cabanatuan may reach General Tinio either via services of Fort Magsaysay Jeepney Operators that pass-through Cabanatuan - Fort Magsaysay Road and General Tinio Jeepney Operators through Cabanatuan- San Leonardo-General Tinio routes. Those who opted to drop from Gapan City may also take General Tinio Jeepneys at Bucana, Gapan terminal.
