The dream of affordable housing for the underprivilege families in the town of General Tinio is about to come true.
The entire plan for the construction of modern condo-buildings, ranging from five to seven floors, for the initial Three Thousand (3000) beneficiary families in General Tinio, Nueva Ecija is now undergoing finalization under the leadership of Engr. Isidro Tinio Pajarillaga, Municipal Mayor of the Local Government Unit of General Tinio, Nueva Ecija
The project will be built in Barangay San Pedro and will not only consist of Condo-Buildings but also include modern facilities to create a complete model community.
In addition, the *Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development *(DHSUD) is allocating six hundred (600) housing units for Indigenous People (IPs), most of whom are Dumagats.
Secretary Jose Jerry Acuzar himself has instructed the key officials of DHSUD to expedite all the requirements for the residents of General Tinio, based on the request of Mayor Isidro Pajarillaga under the **National Housing Program of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr. **which aims to provide six million housing units, with a target of constructing one million units per year for the success of the government's 'Affordable Housing Program' nationwide.
Mayor Pajarillaga appealed to his constituents to act quickly if they are interested and willing to become beneficiaries of the said housing program.
Meanwhile, according to Governor Aurelio M. Umali, there are still many housing projects in Nueva Ecija that are currently being studied by DHSUD in coordination between with the provincial government and respective local government units within the province. He also mentioned that this is the right time for the local and national government to act in achieving the common goal for the citizens.
