Destiny has shaped the history of General Tinio, Nueva Ecija in 2025, as for the first time in its 108-year existence, the town has elected its First-Ever Female Mayor — HON. SHERRY ANN D. BOLISAY.

She rank 1st among the elected municipal councilors in the 2022 Local Election, Mayor Bolisay faithfully and excellently fulfilled her duties on the town council. She was especially committed to the education sector, by giving scholarships and personally delivering financial aid, and other forms of support — both publicly and privately — to her constituents.

A notable example of her dedication is the donation of a SCHOOL STAGE to the Senior High School Department of General Tinio National High School, where she and her husband, Mr. Anthony Bolisay, are alumni (Classes of 1994 and 1993, respectively).

Despite life’s challenges, she has proven to be destined to lead. On June 18, 2025, at 10:08 AM, she officially took her oath of office before City Mayor Emary Joy Pascual while other elected officials were administered by Municipal Judge Leah Abello De Guzman.

Mayor Bolisay outlined her plans for progress during her inauguration, and with unity, community support, and divine guidance, she is committed to turning these into reality.

Long live the people of Papaya! Long live the First Female Mayor, Hon. Sherry Ann D. Bolisay!
